Ethiopian top-flight side Wolkite City Sporting Club have announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Wahab Mohammed who has gone AWOL at Kotoko.
The 27-year-old central defender has been announced by the Ethiopian top-tier side just hours after Kotoko issued a statement announcing the player has gone AWOL.
Wahab, who played 4 times for Kotoko in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League, has reportedly signed a three-year-contract with the club.
Meanwhile Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have reported the conduct of the player to the Ghana FA on Friday. In a statement Kotoko insisted the former Aduana Stars defender is still contracted to the club and claimed he had been undergoing trials with an unnamed club.
An action is expected from Kotoko as details of the player’s actions become apparent in the Ghanaian media.
