Asante Kotoko board chairman Dr Kwame Kyei has reportedly left the club’s pre-arranged board meeting to attend a funeral, according to latest reports from Kumasi.
Pure FM have reported the former Executive Board Chairman was the first to arrive at the Golden Tulip Hotel where the high-powered meeting had been scheduled to take place.
The reports further state that the business tycoon arrived at the venue promptly at the given time and waited for hours without the other members of the board arriving.
Sources close to the board chairman indicates he also had to attend a scheduled funeral rites of a relative who has passed on to glory.
After waiting for other board members who failed to arrive on time for the meeting, he asked permission from the members who were present, to attend the funeral rites.
