Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of Ghana U20 midfielder Salim Adams from second-tier side New Edubiase United, Ghana Sports Online can confirm.
The 19-year-old central midfielder has inked a two-year deal with the Phobians on Friday after the club reached agreement with the Zone II club.
“Yes. I can confirm that Salim has joined Hearts of Oak,” an unnamed top official told Ghana Sports Online.
Salim who was a member of the Ghana U20 side that won the WAFU U20 Championship in Benin last year has been identified by the Phobians as a perfect replacement for Benjamin Afutu who has reportedly failed to sign a new deal with the club.
Afutu, who contract runs out later in October, has failed to commit himself to a new deal and it has triggered Hearts to sign the midfielder.
The midfielder enjoyed an overly impressive season with the Movers in the Division One League and his performance has convinced the Phobians to grab him.
He becomes Hearts’ fifth signing after Enock Asubonteng, Gladson Awako, Kofi Kordzi and Isaac Agyenim Boateng.
