Ghanaian champions Hearts of Oak have been paired against Guinean side CI Kamsar in the preliminary round of the 2021/22 season CAF Champions League.

The Phobians are making a return to CAF interclub football for the first time in six years and must now cross their first hurdle against the Guineans.

Hearts of Oak faithful were anxious to find out their opponent in the competition and the draw held in Cairo on Friday afternoon confirmed the opponents of the Phobians.

The first leg is expected to be played on the weekend of September 10-12 at the Stade de I’Amitie in Kamsar in Guinea, while the return fixture comes on a week later at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The winner between Hearts of Oak and CI Kamsar of Guinea will face either Wydad Athletic Club from Morocco or Olympique de Bangui (Central Africa Rep) in the first round for a place in the group stages.

Hearts won double in the West African nation after winning the Ghana Premier League title and annexing the FA Cup competition.
