LATEST: Milovan Rajevac arrives at headquarters of Ghana FA ahead of big announcement

Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac has arrived at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association ahead of his announcement as the head coach of the Black Stars.

Rajevac, 67, will replace Charles Akonnor who was fired from his post as the head coach of the senior national team almost a fortnight ago following a string of uninspiring performances against Ethiopia and South Africa.

The Ghana Football Association set up a three-man committee to propose a new coach for the 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalist in the wake of Akonnor’s dismissal.

The former Algeria coach has been settled on for the top job as he makes a return to the job he once handled from 2008 to 2010.

He is expected to be announced as the new head coach of the Black Stars when the GFA addresses media men in a press conference at the headquarters on Friday afternoon.
