Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have officially written to Bofoakwa Tano to enquire about the availability of striker Takyi Welbeck, the club has confirmed.
The 21-year-old has been on the radar of top clubs including Asante Kotoko, Legon Cities and a couple of foreign clubs.
Welbeck contributed 20 goals in 24 matches for Bofoakwa who missed out on promotion narrowly.
Second-tier side Nsoatreman FC have also expressed in signing the young striker.
Meanwhile Bofoakwa spokesperson Evans Prempeh has confirmed to Sunyani-based Sun City Radio that Medeama have made an offer for the player.
“We have a lot of offers for him. Medeama have been in touch as well as other clubs,” he said.
The highly-rated striker scored 14 goals and also assisted 6 times during the 2020/21 Division One League.
