On Friday, September 3, 2021, the Nkoranza Municipal Assembly Conference Hall bloomed with recognition for hard work, exceptionality and success in football.
The colourful show themed ‘Football: An Inspiration of Unity and Hope Towards National Development’ was massively attended by all that matter in the municipality from traditional, political, the clergy to the security professions cum special attendance by the renowned and the ordinary outside the municipality particularly from the family of football.
About 36 awards(plaques, citations, certificates) were specially and Honourably prized to respective people under different categories. Over 100 personalities and clubs were nominated by The Nkoranza Municipal Football Association, who conceived and initiated the awards. It was in partnership with Cedar Events Ghana, a renowned event entity based in Accra.
Indigenes, Messieurs Francis Oti Akenten the immediate past Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Maxwell Konadu, Black Starlets Head Coach and Ben Forkuo, Black Princesses Head Coach were honoured. Others include Isaac Amoako, Daniel Ntim, Prince Adu Poku amongst others. Samuel Appiah Kubi formerly of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and now with Tano Bofoakwa was adjudged Most Valuable Player Of The Year with the female version of same for Millot Abena Pokuaa- Hasaacas Ladies.
