Serie A side Bologna promote Ghanaian teen star Ebenezer Annan to first team

Italian Serie A side Bologna have promoted Ghanaian teenager Ebenezer Annan to their first team squad for the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Annan, 18, spent last season playing for the Primavera side of the Serie A side making 12 appearances for for the U19 side.

After impressing for the U19s Bologna manager Sinisa Mihajlovic who has managed a number of African youngsters in the Serie A has promoted the talented Ghanaian defender to the first team squad.

The youngster came off the bench to play for the Emilia-Romagna-based side during their 3-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund in a pre-season game on Friday afternoon. All three goals in the game were scored before the introduction of the Ghanaian youngster who offered defensive solidity to the backline.

He becomes the latest Ghanaian to play for the Bologna first team squad after Godfred Donsah who is still under contract at the club but spent last season on loan at Çaykur Rizespor.

Annan was scouted in Ghana and sent to Bologna by renowned Ghanaian player agent Oliver Arthur.
