The Black Stars will be without 6 players who featured against Ethiopia on Friday as the squad enplane to South Africa to face the Bafana Bafana in a Group G FIFA World Cup qualifier on Monday.
The Black Stars laboured to a 1-0 victory over Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and must now cross the hurdle of South Africa in Johannesbourg in the journey to qualify to Qatar 2022.
Before the qualifiers commenced the West African nation were made aware that players arriving from England cannot travel to South Africa due to the current COVID-19 situation in the country.
The United Kingdom have marked South Africa as COVID-19 red zone.
In addition to the five England-based players Germany based duo of Braydon Manu and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh will also not be travelling with the squad for the game.
Daniel Amartey, Andy Yiadom, Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp who started the game against Ethiopia will not travel with the rest of the team. Defender Baba Rahman who recently joined Reading in the Championship will not be travelling with the squad as well.
