These are the 8 Kotoko board members who cast a vote of no confidence in Dr Kwame Kyei [Pure FM]

Board members of Asante Kotoko casted a vote of no confidence in board chairman Dr Kwame Kyei during their September 2 meeting at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.

The board chairman absented himself from the club’s board meeting at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi on September 2, 2021.

A section of the board felt disrespected by the decision of the business tycoon to abandon their pre-arranged board meeting to attend the funeral ceremony of his relative who passed away. Others on the board are also displeased with the incessant attacks on the Porcupine Warriors’ Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah by Light FM which is owned by the board chairman and his ‘blatant’ failure to tame the radio sports team.

These 8 board members voted in favour of the motion of no confidence in Dr Kwame Kyei- Chairman; Mr Jude Arthur- Vice Chairman, Kwadwo Boateng Gyamfi, Kwasi Osei Ofori, Kwamena Mensah, Miss Evelyn Nsiah Asare, Mr Kofi Amoah Abban, Mr Martin Osei Kwaku Brobbey, Mr James Osei Brown, Mr Kofi Amo ah Abban, MD of Rickworld Oil Group, Mr Martin Osei Kwaku Brobbey, CEO of Lexta Ghana Limited, and Mr James Osei Brown, CEO Joshob Construction Company.

Renowned broadcast journalist Bright Kankam Boadu revealed that three board members namely; Nana Ankobeahene of Asanteman – Baffour Kwame Kusi, Alhaji Lamin and Joseph Yaw Addo voted against the motion of no confidence but the rest of the 11 members all casted their votes in favours of the motion.

Board member Evelyn Nsiah Asare came under media pressure in Kumasi after she tweeted a cryptic message which heavily criticised the board chairman over his relationship with the CEO.
